June is my favorite month of the year! Not only is it the month I was born in, but it's also National Scoliosis Awareness Month.
The fact is, people need to be informed about scoliosis, treatments, and effects of both scoliosis and the treatments.
So this June, I hope you'll join me in my efforts to help those with scoliosis (even if that means simply collecting pop tabs). I've personally been working on different projects, whether it's writing, making videos, or taking part in health activism programs. It doesn't take much to help others, and it's a lot of fun!
Happy National Scoliosis Awareness Month!
Hey, I'm Katie! This is my experience with scoliosis, and I want to help any of you who have it by providing some tips and helping you know what to expect from bracing to surgery. So when life throws you a curve... brace yourself!
II Corinthians 12:9-10
"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities... for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."

ReplyDeleteMy daughter has had scoliosis since she was fifteen and now is nineteen. I am posting to let you now that I think it's great what your doing. Awareness is key! I have set up a fundraising quest for my daughter on www.indiegogo.com for anyone wanting to help us out. Just hoping you could pass it on and help tell her story. Her name is Kelsi Hart from Indiana and she is going on her third surgery this May. If you click on the above web site and search her name you can read her story and hopefully help spread her story so others can help. Thanks and God bless
